VIDEO: Walla Walla Women’s March Opening Rally

On January 20, 2018, thousands of individuals filled the streets of downtown Walla Walla, Washington for the 2nd annual women’s march. This video shows the opening rally, including speeches from Kathy Mulkern (organizer), Nancy Monacelli (organizer), Katie Harvey (Activist, Girls League), Tylene Carnell (LGBTQ Activist, Pride Foundation), Jess Monterey (Immigration Rights Activists, Paralegal), Kandice Kelly (Sexual Assault Advocate, Walla Walla YWCA ) and Marta Reyes (Spanish Translator). The event took place at 10am at First Congregational Church.

Lisa Brown at Women’s March on Walla Walla

Lisa Brown is running for Congress in Washington’s 5th Congressional District. She came to Walla Walla to participate in the 2nd annual #WomensMarchOnWallaWalla on Saturday, January 20, 2018. We met with her for a few questions before the march. Brown is the Democratic challenger of Republican incumbent Cathy McMorris Rodgers.
